Gwich'in Assemblies
Assemblies shall either be an Annual General Assembly or a Special Assembly. Assemblies shall be the ultimate governing body of the Tribal Council and may, by Ordinary Resolution (unless indicated otherwise), set direction for the Tribal Council in accordance with the objectives as set out in the Land Claim Agreement and in accordance with the provisions of Gwich'in Tribal Council By-law #1.
The Annual General Assembly is held each year at the end of August/beginning of September rotated through each of the four Gwich'in communities in the Gwich'in Settlement Area (Fort McPherson, Tsiigehtchic, Aklavik, Inuvik)
